THE CANINFRA IDEAS CONTEST

Over 70 teams from all ACROSS Canada participated in a national ideas contest to help define the next great transformational infrastructure idea for Canada. 


THE CANINFRA SUMMIT

The CanInfra Summit WAS ATTENDED BY over 240 participants for three distinct events over two days. The Summit brought together stakeholders from all corners of the public and private sectors to discuss the future of INFRASTRUCTURE IN Canada

Day 1B.png

Day One of the summit included a live Pitch event for all Top-10 Finalists in the CanInfra Ideas contest. Judges then narrowed the field Down to the Top-3.

THe Keynote speaker was Bill Morneau (INTRODUCED by Jim lEech).

Day Two of the summit kicked off with an opening KEYNOTE by Mayor John Tory.

This was followed by four panels on infrastructure in Canada: (i) One on in-flight transformation projects, (ii) a second on digital INFRASTRUCTURE , (iii) A fireside chat with leaders from the Canada infrastructure Bank, (iv) and a final panel on private SECTOR involvement in infrastructure.

Panels were followed by smaller breakouts on nuanced topics like how to support our cities' 21st century Ambitions.

Lastly the Top-3 teams in the CanInfra Ideas contest presented their ideas to the plenary, a winner was then selected and Prime Minister Justin trudeau gave A closing keynote speech.
